Edda Taylor escapes the nightmare of losing her lover by leaving Austria and moving to Carmel, California. She's inherited a rundown cottage, Ruby Rest, which is an eyesore on the outside. Inside tells a different story.

Before she is able to get settled, she meets Trace Kyle, a garden designer, with secrets about Ruby Rest. As they try to find out more information about the cottage's previous owner, they discover her death was no accident and it might be link other so called accidental deaths. She begins to understand how Trace's brother, the art gallery owner where she works and the lover she lost in an accident are connected to these deaths. And for Edda, too much knowledge can be a dangerous thing.

Ruby Rest by Tyler Oaks is a mystery wrapped in a series of mysteries. You won't find out the complete connection until the end.
