Lauren Smith: Why did you decide to write this book?
Ron Finklestein: The single biggest problem business owners face is how to market. Many of the business challenges I encounter in my business coaching and consulting practice are marketing problems. Smaller business owners don't understand marketing, its importance or who to trust. I wanted to create a safe and inexpensive way for business owners to know what works and give them enough information to implement these marketing success tactics in their business. Hence the book 49 Marketing Secrets (that work) to Grow Sales was born.
Lauren Smith: What do you hope small business owners will learn from reading it?
Ron Finklestein: It is my sincere hope that people who know little or nothing about marketing will use this book to figure out more effective ways to grow their business and create the business they really want - not a job but a business.
Lauren Smith: There are a lot of books out there on this topic, what makes yours different?
Ron Finklestein: This book is different because the secrets were not written by me. They were written by the 34 national marketing experts, business owners and consultants that use these approaches every day. It is based on results. If you go to www.49marketingsecrets.com you will read about the results people experienced using these concept. One company took $48K in direct mail cost out of his business and moved to email marketing and Webinars and actually increased revenue.
One business owner talked about how he grew his company by 3500% in seven years by building a culture of innovation.
One company, just be redesigning a business card received a $5K consulting contract. This is not theory - it is fact based on what real people do.
