An Interview with Nick Shelton

The American Truth
Lauren Smith: Nick, what is your book about? Nick Shelton: The American Truth paints a picture of many controversies, coincidences, and conspiracy theories surrounding the September 11th attacks. Through an engaging story and a series of nonfiction articles, the book makes readers question whether they witnessed one of the most controversial events in history. Lauren Smith: What inspired you to write a fictional account of 9-11? Nick Shelton: I've always felt that storytelling is the best way we can communicate ideas. Our culture is used to learning through storytelling whether it be through Hollywood films, TV shows, or articles in magazines. I also felt like a story would help put 9/11 truth issues into a tangible form, as opposed to describing abstract conspiracy theories. Lauren Smith: Do you really think there's a conspiracy surrounding 9-11? Nick Shelton: I think the evidence shows that other parties or individuals were involved in allowing the 9/11 attacks to occur or possibly orchestrating the events. I do not believe in many of the so called "conspiracy theories" that are being talked about (I do not even agree with some of the issues that I put forward in The American Truth). However, I'm thoroughly convinced that the 9/11 Commission Report does not accurately describe the 9/11 attacks, and that the public has not been given the entire truth regarding the attacks. Lauren Smith: What are some things that you feel point to the 9-11 conspiracy? Nick Shelton: The major categories would be: The fashion the WTC buildings came down, including WTC 7 which was never hit by any airplane but collapsed at 5:20 p.m. on 9/11/01 in a fashion that mirrors a controlled demolition. Looking in hindsight and seeing how 9/11 has been used to benefit certain individuals and political agenda. The dozens of anomalies surrounding 9/11 that seems improbably to be just coincidences. Lauren Smith: Do you think we can expect another 9-11 type of event? Nick Shelton: Based on what is being reported in the mainstream media, it seems as though another attack is imminent. However, I believe it would be much harder for a band of terrorists to pull off a successful attack considering the heightened security. I also believe it would be hard to pull off another false flag terrorist attack considering the amount of awareness that the 9/11 Truth community has generated.
